Early Life & Education

Mr Sher Nowrooz Khan was born in Chitral, Pakistan in 1960. He received his early education from his native place Chitral. Nowrooz obtained his bachelor’s degree from Sindh Muslim College, Karachi in 1984 and Master’s degree from University of Karachi in 1987.

Professional Career

Nowrooz started his professional career as a Librarian at Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University in 1988. Since then, he had been performing his responsibilities as Principal Librarian, Chief Librarian till his retirement on  February 2020.

Publications

He has been contributing to professional literature by writing books and articles as well as compiling bibliographies and valuable indices. His two books “The Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him): A Select Bibliography in Western Languages and Hadrat Muhammad Salla Allah Alayh wa Sallam: Muntakhab Kitabiyat Urdu Kutub va Maqalat” received awards in National Sirah Book Completion 2015 and 2017 respectively.
